Created a social media campaign to get the Commonwealth of Dominica trending on social media for a day, as a result, advertising the tourism product of Dominica. The primary objective of the campaign was to encourage users to use #Dominica in all their posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on a specific date. Over a two weeks’ implementation period, I conceptualized the design of the website, supervised the creation of content, and managed social media channels. I also implemented a traditional media plan which included press releases, television interviews, and radio interviews.
#Dominica trended number one on Twitter all day on May 16, 2017. The campaigned obtained a total reach of 25.9 million users (North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia) within 24hrs.
